More Londoners Getting Fancy Degrees

A survey by the Higher Education Funding Council for England has found more students from the South are going to uni, is this the case for Cardiff?

The Higher Education Funding Council for England found that there had been a rise in young people going to university from 30% to 38% between 1998 and 2012 and this was mainly from South of England.

It also found that London students are 43% more likely to go into higher education than those in the North-East of England, where young people are least likely to go to university.

So does this mean that Cardiff will soon be over run by Southerners?

Patrick, a fresher at Cardiff university agrees saying he’s barely met any Welsh people since starting university here.

The survey found that since 1998, Barking in Essex was one of the fastest growing areas with a participation rate jumped by 23%, Croydon, Lewisham and Deptford followed with an increase of over 20%.

Looks like the fake tan sales in Cardiff might rise after all!
