Miller plays the lead character in a show that has previously filmed in Cambridge. Professor Jasper Tempest is a “genius Cambridge University criminologist” who is the star of the PBS and ITV show Professor T.  The series is based on an award-winning Belgian crime TV show.

It may be possible that he is currently shooting for the next season of the show.

Professor T aired last summer, following which ITV confirmed it for a second season. They also announced that filming would likely begin in spring of 2022.  Some of Miller’s cast mates have also been spotted in Cambridge. Among others, the season 1 cast included Emma Naomi, Frances de la Tour, Barney White and Miller himself.

Miller is perhaps best known for his role in Death in Paradise, although readers may also recognise him as Lord Featherington on the Netflix show Bridgerton. His filmography has earned him two BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards, as well as a British Citizens’ Award (BCA).

He is familiar with the Cambridge area, having studied here himself. As an undergraduate student, he read natural sciences at St Catherine’s college, and also earned his PhD from the university.
