Christmas Comes Early? Lecturers to Strike. Again.
Lectures may well end a day early this term, as uni staff plan further industrial action
Got a supervision or lecture that you’re dreading? You may just be in luck. Members of labour unions Unite, Unison, and the University and College Union, the lecturers’ trade union have announced that a second day of strike action will occur on December 3, with the protest conveniently scheduled just one day before the end of Michaelmas lectures.
After going on strike over pay earlier this term, uni staff are set to walk out next month if the current “pay row is not resolved”.
University staff to walk out again on 3 Dec if pay row not resolved. @UNISONinHE @unitetheunion & @ucu will this time be joined by @EISUnion

The official Twitter for the Cambridge branch of Unite ominously posted the tweet below last week, suggesting that the Week 8 sweetener is just the beginning of more demonstrations that have been planned.
The one day strike is just the start, our pay has fallen so far behind the cost of living, we must campaign for #fairpayinHE
