Whereas it’s socially acceptable for girls to spend hours getting their freak on, men tend to be looked down upon if they make an effort, especially if they’re straight. I’m so over the hobo-chic look, whereby guys dress like they’ve done a night-raid on a Harlem Oxfam, chucking in a pair of gunged-up Dunlops for good measure. If that’s how they treat their shoes, my ovaries murmur when I see these people, how the Jessica will they treat us?
