Summer is up and Cambridge is once more bustling with fresh faced students searching to unleash their student loans on the cities clubs. While many may have prepared themselves for the same old monotonous selection of weekly club nights, this year a brand new Ents team is set to mix it up.

For a long time, Monday night has played host to a less than attractive array of horrendously themed club nights and ARU hangouts. Finally, someone has listened to our prayers and delivered a unique and legitimate Cambridge Student Monday. We present to you, Mode.

In our absence, Mode at Revolution has taken the Cambridge club scene by storm and if this Monday is anything to judge it on, Cambridge University students are hooked.

Drinks are the cheapest in the city with £1 shots, £2 Jagerbombs and £3 Double Vodkas. Cheap drinks normally means a disgusting offering that can only be likened to White Spirit but Revolution is different. Expect to be served quality brands and still at ridiculous rock bottom prices.

Once the Jagerbombs have begun to flow, it’s time migrate upstairs and step into a new and illuminated world. The Clubroom has been fully renovated and can only be described as Cambridge’s answer to Ibiza.

It’s time to submerse yourself into the music and pay homage to the Mode resident DJ Stephanie Jay. The Hed Kandi resident spends her weekends headlining huge events across the globe and flies back just in time to play out the best house, electro and mashups to Cambridge’s finest.

If a slightly more chilled evening is was you are searching for then head up to the Roof Terrace where Mode have a Shisha bar with over 20 different flavours. We recommend the Orange and mint – trust!

It’s now time to let you into a secret. Rum connoisseurs, cocktail maestros and Cuban revolutionaries have joined forces to create a World of Rum for you to explore. Revolucian de Cuba is a brand new room open on the top floor. The Mahiki style bar offers a serious selection of flavoured Rum shots and some incredible and yet potent Rum Cocktails.

The best way to go to Mode is as a VIP.  Table reservations are free and secure you that all important queue jump. All Cambridge University students get £1 off entry with a student card and if you pre-book a table with 6 or more friends, expect a free magnum of bubbly to your table!

Find out more on The Tab‘s Offers page.

The bass lines are perfectly engineered. Wait for the drop, reach for the lasers, and go mental. Mode is the Monday night Revolution. Join the Revolution.
