Cambridge On Top Of The World, Again

A number of top uni rankings tables have confirmed what many of us already know: Cambridge is simply unbeatable.

Cambridge has once again been crowned the best British university, by not one but two independent tables.

The Sunday Times today ranked Cambridge as the number one university in the UK, a position that we’ve held almost every year in recent history. Rated on categories such as student satisfaction and teaching excellence, Oxford and the rest have been comprehensively smashed this year as Light Blue domination continues.

The Times’ rankings follow last week’s QS University Rankings, which named Cambridge the best university in the world – ahead of US heavyweights Harvard, MIT and Yale- making it two years at the top for the Cantabs. Oxford could only muster 5th place.

An anonymous history finalist from The Other Place was mortified at the news, telling The Tab: “I know everyone at Oxford has been waiting with bated breath for these rankings. The University’s poor performance is bound to provoke an official inquiry, which might start by seeking to ascertain the true identities of Quacquarelli and Symonds. Counselling for students distressed by the news must also be an option.”

Another number one ranking, and this one’s global

These latest results must be hard to take for many Oxonians, after three beatings in the Varsity cricket matches last year, and another trouncing in the goat race.

With Cambridge enjoying such success over their rivals, hopes will be high going into another year of sporting and academic competition.
