10.00 pm, Itchy Feet, The Junction, £5.
Promises that you won’t have to listen to ‘the same old shit’. Imagine a club night where you actually enjoy the music, where Tinie Tempah doesn’t make an appearance, and where the DJ doesn’t think the only criteria for music is a lot of bass. Ska, funk, soul, rock, roll, blues; everything you could ever want.

Friday 25th February.
1.10 pm: Friday lunchtime concert at Kettle’s Yard.
Jessica Eccleston (soprano) sings Mateos and De Falla.
7.30 pm: Alison Balsom with CUMS, King’s College Chapel.
Alison Balsom (trumpet), CUMS Chorus, King’s College Choir and Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Stephen Cleobury. Haydn (Trumpet Concerto), Verdi (Quattro Pezzi Sacri) and Mozart (Coronation Mass).
8.00 pm, UP Live Poetry and Music Night, Varsity Hotel, £4.
Big beats and poetry. Underground poetry. Very cool.
8.00 pm: The Cambridge University String Ensemble, Trinity College Chapel.
CUSE conducted by Alan Bowman; Lliam Paterson (piano). Bartok (Romanian Dances), Grieg (Holberg Suite), Barber (Adagio) and MacMillan (Piano Concerto No. 2).
8.00 pm: The Marriage of Figaro, West Road Concert Hall.

Saturday 26th February.
1.30 pm: GCMS recital, Gonville and Caius College.
Devina Shah (piano), Alexandra Malina (violin), Harry Buckoke (cello). Chopin (Piano Trio in G minor).
1.30 pm: Wolfson College Music Society lunchtime concert, Wolfson College.
Taro Takeuchi (guitar). Purcell, Matteis, Sanz, Geminiani and Straube.
4.00 pm: CUWO and OUWO, Trinity College Chapel.
Cambridge University Wind Orchestra and Oxford University Wind Orchestra. Gershwin (An American in Paris) and Ellerby (Venetian Spells).
8.00 pm: The Marriage of Figaro, West Road Concert Hall.
10.00 pm, Mr Scruff, The Junction, £10.
An impressively long 5 hour DJ set from a true DJ master. The crowd can definitely make or break a DJ event so bring friends. Expect a mix of just about every type of music that it’s possible to dance to.

Sunday 27th February.
12.00 pm: RipRap, Kettle’s Yard

Kevin Flanagan and Dave Gordon will explore original compositions, text settings and improvisations with their ensemble Riprap.

2.00 pm: GCMS Sunday Afternoon Concerts, Girton College.
Jo Harries (mezzo-soprano), Chris Stark (piano). Schumann (Frauenliebe und leben) and Britten (A Charm of Lullabies).
8.30 pm: SCMS recital, Selwyn College Hall.
Mayuko Tanno (flute), Lliam Paterson (piano). 20th century flute and piano music.
