If there’s one thing us girls are loathe to part with, it’s our favourite pair of jeans. So while our trusty, perfectly fitted pair will always have a place in our hearts, and our wardrobes, why not make now the time to branch out and try the newest trends in denim?

Overall there’s a bit of a crazy vibe going on with these wardrobe staples- now is definitely the time to make them the main focus of your outfit, because as it turns out, a little wacky goes a long way. The oversized (and surprisingly slimming) harem fad has wormed its way onto the denim scene, and with patches and rips still going strong- as evidenced by fashion know-it-all Christopher Kane- with a bit of D.I.Y customisation you can turn your current jeans into on-trend lovelies in no time.

The newest shape to test drive comes in the form of ‘the carrot’ which, according to fashion bible Grazia, ‘are as comfortable as your boyfriends but narrow and lengthen your calves’. Be warned though, they are essentially a reworking of the heinous crime that was the 90’s tapered trouser and we all know what a good look that wasn't. Wear with caution ladies. And definitely not with flats.

And be sure to make these printed beauties the focus of your outfit: here at Tab Fashion HQ we're thinking the floral skinnies will add a girlish whimsy to a rock-chick look, whilst the leopard printed pair are just WILD. Enjoy…

Clockwise: Christopher Kane, ripped; Helmut Lang, carrot; Oscar de la Renta, printed.
