Queens’ College rips down sporting result board in dead of night.

Queens’ college has torn down a sport’s result blackboard after one complaint.

The complaint came after the messages "Queens’ Crucified Christ’s" and "Queens’ penetrated Pembroke" appeared side by side on the banterous board last week.

The college responded by ripping the board down in the dead of night.

The Tab has learned that the spoil sport was a Queens' post-grad student, who approached the porters "in tears" about a comment written on the board.

No warning was given to the student body and the college has since refused offers by the JCR to regulate content.

In defence of the controversial action, a college official said "I don’t see why any student needed to know our decision".

The board, visible to the public by the porter’s lodge, has long been a Queens’ tradition and represents a celebration of Queens’ teams sporting success.

One student complained the board’s removal was "just another example of college killing all the fun. First they porter people for talking too loudly and now they get rid of our board. The witty result tables used to make me smile; now all that’s left is a brick wall."
