A man in Baron was going around punching random students in the face last night

The assault has been reported to the police

Last night a man at The Baron went on a rampage and punched multiple students in the face for seemingly no reason, The Brookes Tab can reveal.

At least two students were punched by this man, with one student knocked unconscious for as long as 40 seconds. This lead to him being kicked out and the police being called.

George, a Brookes student, told The Brookes Tab: "I don’t really remember much after he hit me in the face 3 times. Just for absolutely no reason. I was just at the bar and he went for me. He was Irish I think."

He added: "He knocked a friend of mine unconscious for no reason, he was unconscious for a good 40 seconds."

The man was described by one student as a "built guy, with tattoos all down his arms" and was wearing a white Levi's t-shirt.

One comment on Overheard says: "Both his two mates were throwing outside as well, all had strong Irish accents.. saw them at City arms as well around 8.30."

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "Thames Valley Police has received a reports of an assault at The Baron in Cowley Road last night in which a man has punched another man in the face. An investigation has been launched and we are appealing for anyone with information to please call 101 quoting reference 43200043447."
