Meet the fighters in this year’s Gentlemen’s Fight Night
There’s nothing holding back these boys
On Thursday 16th November, Oxford will be graced with a night of drinking, suits, dresses and white collar boxing. Gentleman's Fight Night is back and bigger than ever, selling out online after only three minutes of the tickets being sold. While you grovel endlessly for the tickets rarer than gold, take a break, meet the fighters and see what they have to say.
Training has been going well but I'm eager to get in the ring. In relation to the fight, my opponent understands the craft but he thinks he’s a rugby lad, jokes on him when the whole club will be singing my name as his head hits the canvas.
I got the invite with two weeks notice before the fight but I’m going in to get my hand raised anyway.
Training has been tough, but worthwhile…. Most people ask if I'm scared or nervous for the fight, fear is not a feeling… It's a choice.
Training has gone well. Will get the job done on the night for sure. I’ve never lost at anything and I never will. I hope he’s ready.
I'll give the people what they want.
I'm not here to take part, I'm here to take over.
Training has been good, we have had the last day of intense training so the hard part is done now, just waiting on the fight date now.
Trainings been really good. I feel great! I can’t wait for Thursday night. I feel sorry for the poor guy having to fight me. He’s not ready for me, he will never be ready for me. He’s in trouble.
Just let my fighting do the talking.
I believe the fight will be very close. I have the aggression over Lomax to beat him and have a harder punch, he may be slightly faster but precision beats power and timing beats speed.
I will win – I have no doubts.
