Appeal to potential witnesses of a sexual assault in the O2 Academy

This is a specific appeal to the people in the CCTV images below to please contact Thames Valley police.

Police believe they are potential key witnesses to an incident which took place at the O2 Academy, Cowley Road, at around 1:30am on Thursday 3rd November.

The victim is a 20-year-old woman, who was dancing on the ground floor dance floor close to the stage when she was assaulted.

The suspect has been identified as a white male, about 6ft, in his late teens to early twenties, of medium build, with mousy/brown coloured hair with short sides and a quiff.

On the night of the assault, he was wearing a blue long-sleeved top and dark trousers.

Investigating officer, Det Con James Macaro of Force CID, said: “We are appealing directly to the people in the CCTV images to contact Thames Valley Police as we believe they are potential witnesses to the incident.”

“Alternatively, if you know the people in the CCTV or have any other information about the incident, please call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101.

“If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
