Two fire alarms have gone off in JHB today
It looks like it was just a drill
Russell SheldrakeAt around 9:40 this morning the fire alarm went off in JHB and forced everyone to evacuate.
Later at around 11:20, the fire alarm went off inside the Colonnade building forcing everyone to evacuate from there.
A member of JHB staff informed The Tab that they were just testing the alarms and ensuring they are all functioning properly, so don’t worry, you can still get your Christmas Starbucks in the Forum today.
The alarms being tested on one of the coldest days of the year was not the best time for it to happen, especially with a lot of mid-term deadlines looming.
There was no word of any more tests happening, so the JHB should be undisturbed for the rest of the day.
