Wahoo is closing down

But Bridge is here to stay

We can confirm that by the end of this year, Wahoo will close down as part of a development programme.

Popular student club Wahoo, on The Hythe Bridge Street, will close in October because of land redevelopment plans.

The nightclub, who’s busiest nights are run by Shuffle Nights, announced its up and coming closure after it has sadly lost its premises. Shuffle Nights confirmed the closing down of the business in a recent Facebook Post asking the people of Oxford to “stay tuned” because “the good times will still roll”.

Although the redevelopment plan will cause problems for many other businesses in the area, Bridge will not be affected just yet, meaning locals and students alike can enjoy a large club in the centre of town.

Although Wahoo will stay open just for Freshers’ week, a spokesperson from Bridge told The Tab that Bridge isn’t going anywhere for at least four years, despite rumours.
