A teenager has been stabbed on Cowley Road
The 18-year-old is fighting for his life in hospital
Lauren McNamaraA teenager was stabbed this afternoon on Cowley Road, and most of the road has now been closed off.
Paramedics and Police were called to the scene by James Street, after the stabbing which has left the 18-year-old seriously injured in the hospital.
Cowley road has been closed off due to the incident, leaving buses changing route down Iffley Road and pedestrians also being diverted.
Many Brookes students will be feeling worried after this incident, as Cowley Road is the student hub of Brookes, with many people living within close proximity of where the stabbing took place.
Witnesses were said to have seen a body lying in the road, before the ambulance turned up at the scene.
Third year communication, media and culture student Polly Richardson told the Tab: “all the buses are cancelled and the whole of Cowley road is closed.”
