Tonight’s MNB is dedicated to legend David Bowie

It’s called Monday Night Bowie

Monday Night Bridge is holding a special event to pay tribute to the late legend David Bowie tonight.

The news of Bowie’s death shocked the nation when it came to light that he had been suffering with cancer and tragically passed away at the age of 69.

Entry is £3 with a Bodcard, and around 500 are expected to be attending, even though most of Brookes isn’t back yet.

Conor Diamond from Ox events said: “Monday Night Bowie is essentially The Ox Event’s tribute to the whirlwind influence of the great man himself.

“Watch any of his interviews, you see he aptly describes the power of performative music to shape the mindset of an entire generation in the 70s, likening it to the internet nowadays.

“Monday Night Bowie sprung from this. Since Brookes’ second semester hasn’t yet begun, but MNB-loving locals and Oxford University are already about – screw uni boundaries! This is worth coming together for.

“What we offer is a night with a fantastic patchwork crowd from all over, in the same way that Bowie himself was so multifaceted.

“Put simply, drink and jive with new people in the much-loved Bridge. We’re always proud that MNB is home as a night out to so many different people – no one ever feels unwelcome.”
