Brookes Union brings plastic ice rink to campus
It wasn’t very festive
Zara AsherWith the majority of us spending every waking hour in the JHB, the Union wanted to lighten the mood and bring us “the Christmas experience”.
They brought elves, mulled wine, gingerbread cookies, hot chocolate and an ice rink. Except it wasn’t ice, it was plastic. Not bad for £3 though.
Despite the disappointing size of the rink and the fake ice, a select few still showed up and enjoyed themselves.
The Student Union made a huge effort, but apparently not everyone was happy with the Christmas cheer.
Those putting on the art exhibition reportedly complained to the Union about the noise ruining their experience, so clearly not everyone is feeling as festive.
Even if the artist in Abercrombie wanted to shut us down, these girls wouldn’t let them ruin their festive procrastination.
This deffo isn’t ice we’re standing on
Good luck to everyone who still has deadlines and exams. And to those of you who don’t, we don’t want to know about it.
