Brookes is one of the best unis in the South East

We narrowly missed out on the top 50 in The Sunday Times Good University Guide

We are now one of the highest rated universities in the South East coming in eighth place in the region.

We’ve beaten the likes of Brighton, Portsmouth and Winchester in The Sunday Times Good University Guide released today.

We have however fallen short and been unable to sustain our place at 49th last year, now coming in at 55th.

The rankings are based on student satisfaction combined with teaching and graduate prospects.

We did also manage to nab 17th place for our architecture department.

Unfortunately, it seems we still have a long way to go before we catch up with our neighbours, Oxford University, after they’ve been awarded an impressive second place.

Andy Pedersen, student union president has given his first impression on Brookes for the Good University Guide: “Moving into halls was great – you’ll make friends for life.”

So even if we don’t ever get a graduate job and all get thirds – at least we’ll have friends for life to wallow with.
