What are you giving up for Lent?

Good luck

We asked the hard workers of the JHBB if they were committing to giving something up something for Lent.

Most of you responded with “What’s Lent?”, “Is there a prize?” and simply, “no”.

But, for 40 days and 40 nights, some students of Oxford Brookes are saying goodbye to nearly everything in the kitchen cupboard.

Luke is bravely saying bye to sugar for the six weeks before Easter.

Harry Styles is sweet enough, right?

Lizzie will be avoiding anything to do with chocolate for a while. “This is not going to easy” she said.

“Bread is so fattening”, said Katie.

No more Nutella on toast for this pair.

sad face indeed

Sandy told us “I’m giving up cups of coffee”. We think this is a brave move for a student.

What about those all-nighters before a deadline?

Just a tea, please

Sam (and friend) are ditching bad habits for the foreseeable future.

erm?

Phoebe looked reasonably positive of day one with no sweets.

“I don’t really like them anyway, does that count?”

It can’t be that bad, can it?

And finally, the most challenging of all.

No more post clubbing Posh Nosh

Meg said “I’ve finally decided to ditch the junk food after a night out”.

This will no doubt be the toughest decision of the semester.

Good Luck.
