What’s on: week 2

With the SU refresh week starting on Monday the huge variety of activities on offer can seem daunting. Never fear! The Tab is on hand with our pick of the go-to events this week.

Sunday 02/02/14

Before you sit down to watch the Superbowl, why not catch a beer with the Bluebirds! The Brookes Bluebirds (cheerleaders) are putting on a ‘race night fundraiser’ at The Wheatsheaf from 7:30pm. Its only £2 entry and another £1 for betting tickets on the horse races. If you missed out on Ascot then this a perfect time to join in and try your luck.

Wednesday 05/02/14

We’ve been hearing a lot about this new society from the union yet we’re still clueless as to what they actually do. The ‘Assassin society’ have their first official meet this Wednesday, 6pm at the Union Mez. Let the games begin!

Thursday 06/02/14

If you’re looking for a change of place from the regular Camera scene, then you’re in luck! Fishy Fingers is back this Thursday but this time we’re in Hawaii. Forget the winter blues with £6 entry at the O2 academy.

But for those of you planning to do something more low key, why not try your hand at the student union’s ‘poker night’ in the union café at 7:30pm.

Friday 07/02/14

Once lectures are done kick off the weekend by heading down to the ComePlay launch party at Blanco on Cowley Road. The theme is frat party and what frat party is complete without beerpong, shot girls and prize giveaways. At only £3 entry what more could you ask for?!
