Is this the end? Books set to move.
Elissa BlankleyThe Tab can confirm that the library should be open for use in early 2014 after rumours started that the books might not make their move to the new building until Summer 2014.
Might we finally get a look inside?
While we’re all enjoying our winter breaks and working through lingering New Year’s hangovers the library will be shut for a 7 day period some time between the 10th and the 22nd of January. So bad luck for those select few hoping to come back early and work on their dissertations. Hopefully once it’s reopened it’ll be in its brand new location and we’ll all be forced to turn into freshers not knowing our way around.
If you want to do work over the Christmas holidays, it’s recommended to get your books out before the library shuts (obviously). If we all take out a book or two it’d make their job easier, and who knows, it could even finish ahead of schedule? But that might just be wishful Christmas thinking.
