Things to do on Strike Day

We’ve got a free day off thanks to striking lecturers, here’s how to waste it.

A second national strike day is planned to take place on Tuesday due to continuing disputes over pay. Whilst the university is remaining open and the Tab has been informed it will be operating “as normally as possible”, many lectures have been cancelled leaving most students jumping for joy (and the rest probably weren’t going anyway).

Here are the best alternative activities:

1. Lie in bed watching Christmas films (it’s December now so this is allowed)

2. Laugh at other people whose lectures aren’t cancelled

3. Clean the whole house – a classic procrastination tool when deadlines are nigh

4. Go rah spotting in South Park

5. Go to Bridge on Monday night and spend all of Tuesday in bed

6. Hang out with your favourite celebrities (or spend the day on faceinahole.com)

7. Go to the pub

8. Get 2 for Tuesdays from Dominos (something tells me they chose a Tuesday for a reason)

9. Spend the entire day on Snapchat – no its still not old!

10. Do some work (but this one really is a last alternative)

However you’re spending it, happy strike day.
