Breaking News: More Library Delays

TABSCLUSIVE: Will the books be moved over Christmas?

| UPDATED

In perhaps unsurprising news there’s a rumour going around campus that there will be further delays to the  John Henry Brookes building.

The Tab has reported continuous delays throughout the year but it is now believed that the new library might not be ready until September 2014, nine months after the original due date.

The senior management are meeting this week to discuss whether the books should be moved over the Christmas holidays, meaning students would return to a flash new work space or in summer to avoid disruption.

A now familiar sight.

At the moment access to the new Abercrombie building is restricted, for working, to Real Estate and Architecture students.

With the building work still very much ongoing and a crane was spotted on site today, it seems unlikely the books will leave their current home anytime soon. A decision is due to be made by Wednesday so watch this space for more updates.
