Bristol Uni to increase bookable library hours to 14 hours per week from Sunday

Just in time for deadline season

Bristol Uni library services have announced that they are increasing student library hours to 14 hours per week from Sunday.

This comes shortly after students were told that their maximum amount of booking hours would be increasing from four hours to eight hours.

Library services have said: “Booking levels will be kept under review and adjusted to ensure that spaces are being fully used and shared fairly”

Three libraries and four study centres are currently open, and will continue to stay open until the end of TB1 for students who choose to say in Bristol after the government’s coronavirus “travel window”.

Students are encouraged to continue using the booking system, so the library team can keep reviewing usage.

With deadline and exam season looming, the increase to 14 hours per week will likely be welcome news.
