Here’s how you can see her

Greta Thunberg has announced she will be visiting Bristol on Friday 28th February.

The youngest ever winner of Time Person of the Year (2019) will be joining the latest edition of the climate strike, which will take place on College Green at 11am.

Greta’s presence has already been felt in Bristol as there is a 15 metre mural of her by Aldi in Southville.

Friday’s climate strike will surely be much larger than its predecessor, which saw around 350 students, lecturers and schoolchildren unite on College Green.

On Thunberg’s upcoming appearance, Bristol Youth Strike for Climate said it was “honoured to be welcoming” the 17-year-old climate activist.

The group said: “We didn’t have a strike planned so it’s a lot of last minute organisation.

“The whole Bristol community has come together to make it happen.

“We think Greta’s presence will make it very big and bring a lot of energy to the strike”.
