A petition for a referendum on Bristol’s disaffiliation from the NUS has been issued

It only needs 350 signatures

In light of the recent election of Malia Bouattia to the NUS presidency, campaigns for NUS disaffiliation citing her blatant anti-Semitic views have sprung up in universities all over the country.

Many students have become disillusioned with an institution which doesn’t seem to represent their way of thinking. From banning clapping in public conferences to spearheading the no-platform culture rife on British campuses, the NUS is becoming more and more radical in its approach to freedom of speech.

Bristol’s own campaign, joining 24 other universities across the country, has now started.

A petition requiring 350 signatures to spark a referendum has been issued and a link to the form is available below.
