Fuze 2015: Bristol’s next top models

Why haven’t you got a ticket already?

The countdown has begun. There are only a couple of days left until Fuze, Britain’s largest student-run fashion, music and dance event, hits The Passenger Shed for one of the biggest weekends on Bristol’s calendar.

If last year is anything to go by, this year’s show is set to be spectacular, so Tab Fashion caught up with two of the models gracing the catwalk to get all the gossip on Fuze 2015.

So how did you become a Fuze model?

I was scouted in freshers week last year, at the freshers fair.

How are you feeling about the show?

Very excited but terrified of falling over, let’s hope that doesn’t actually happen.

Do you have any favourite labels or looks featuring in the show?

I absolutely adore Lydia Cooper’s designs. She makes her dresses from scratch while still going to uni, and they’re all unique and beautiful.

Is there anything particularly exceptional to look out for?

The dancing, so much talent! Each one links to the overall theme through the ages.

What’s the best thing about being a Fuze model?

I would say meeting new people, who you wouldn’t otherwise know. On the actual night it’s manic, but also actually really exciting.

What is the atmosphere like between all the models during shoots?

Everyone is really lovely so they can be just a laugh. Except when it’s cold; then the shoots aren’t as pleasant.

How did you become a Fuze model?

In second year someone approached me on a ski social and suggested I audition.

I wouldn’t have until one of last years committee said I should try.

How are you feeling about the show?

Excited, I can’t wait to see everything come together.

Do you have any favourite labels or looks featuring in the show?

De Mouilpied looks particularly fun.

Is there anything particularly exceptional to look out for?

Chris Field’s abs.

Have you had any embarrassing or awkward moments modelling for Fuze?

Friends wreck me for it continually, bringing it up whenever introducing me.

What’s the best thing about being a Fuze model?

Spending time with everyone, all the models are great.

What is the atmosphere like between all the models during shoots?

Always good fun to go hang out in quirky areas of Bristol and pose outrageously.
