Come Dine With You?

Much vaunted early evening television epic Come Dine With Me is looking for contestants in Bristol.

It is that time of year again. Exams are looming: medics are busy cramming notes 19 hours at a time, mathematicians pour over stats like there is no tomorrow, whilst scientists simultaneously scrutinize lab reports in libraries around campus.

In the meantime, first year arts students enjoy a relaxed term, with the odd hour of work here and there, a couple of exams, and a certain amount of time wasted on reality TV. Those first year students will be aware of the hit show Come Dine With Me – a show in which (usually) eccentric contestants host a dinner party for four random strangers, all narrated by the reliably caustic Dave Lamb.

ITV have launched an advertising campaign and are on the hunt for would-be chefs from the Bristol and Bath. Filming is set to start on June 23 – wouldn’t your student house be the perfect place for a load of busybodies and tv crew members to nose around?

With a chance to win £1000, and with student loans already starting to run out, applications to the show could be a consideration for any students skilled in the kitchen.

If you think you can cook (you probably can’t), want the chance to win £1000 (you probably do want £1000 though), and would like at least half an hour of fame, then email: [email protected] or call 0871 244 4142
