Itchy Feet is getting students to promote their infamous ‘Drunk Women Deserve Jail’ event on campus.

Itchy Feet stationed three female students on Woodland Road today and dressed them up in prison uniform to sell tickets for the Jailhouse Rock night on Friday.

Last month, Itchy Feet released their ‘Drunk Women Deserve Jail’ poster on Facebook and stuck it up in various uni locations, including the ASS library.

The posters sparked an online frenzy but Itchy Feet were undeterred, shamelessly writing on their Facebook page:  “That’s right… DRUNK WOMEN DESERVE JAIL.”

And with just four days to go, the club night company is STILL pedalling their “sexist” marketing ploy.

An Itchy Feet representative says: “It’s definitely not meant to be sexist.  It’s an event predominantly enjoyed by women.  We’re just targeting markets. “

The girls on Woodland Road today were delighted with their job.  They were joined by two male students and told us other students had been deployed to promote the event elsewhere on campus throughout the day.
