Hiatt Baker Bedroom Goes Viral

Bristol student Jack Harries gets over 1m Youtube views for a video tour of his Hiatt Baker room

Whilst most Freshers, in between trips to Bunker, will waste time browsing viral Youtube clips, one resourceful student decided it would be more lucrative to make one himself.

19-year-old Bristol first-year Jack Harries, with his twin brother Finn, who attends Leeds University, started a YouTube channel ‘JacksGap’ just over a year ago. To date their videos have received over 33 million hits.

Browsing the Youtube comments, it would appear their online following is mostly teenage girls going nuts for the dapper, well spoken, identical twins.

The channel began as a place where they could document their gap year adventures. Earlier videos show snippets of typical ‘Gap Yah’ behaviour, from races around Ibiza on quad bikes (#yolo) to naked bungee jumps and unicycle rides around London.

The most recent highlight has been a tour of Jack’s Hiatt Baker room, in which he shows off his iMac, teddy bear and choice of bedspread to anyone who cares to watch –  so far, that number stands at over a million people and just keeps rising.
