Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) help their clients drive growth and profitability by offering innovative solutions in things like mergers and acquisitions (M&A), valuations or business modelling. The role is similar to investment banking, so if you are a strategic thinker with an excellent attention to detail, this could be the career for you.
As a grad
Most large firms will offer graduate programmes in the different areas of TAS, such as Corporate Finance Strategy, Valuations or Transactions Support. As a grad, you’ll be helping to solve real business problems from day one, whether it’s advising your clients on how they can raise capital, or assessing a target company’s finances and business projections, helping to identify opportunities and risks.salary bands and hours

training
Your training will be tailored based on the scheme you choose – this could involve working towards a professional qualification, which will most likely be funded by your employer. You’ll generally start the programme with a few weeks of induction and training, the rest you’ll actively learn on the job, through shadowing senior members of the team.progression
Progression will vary based on the programme you choose – typically you’ll move from analyst to consultant after finishing your scheme. The next step of your progression will be to senior consultant or manager, where you’ll be supervising a team of junior consultants and making important decisions. With hard work and drive, you could move up to a partner level at the firm you’re at, or you could choose to move employers.necessary skills and requirements
