THE ROADS YOU SHOULD LIVE ON
As you walk through Hyde Park’s bustling streets you’ll be hit by the tempting smells of Zulfi’s gloriously greasy doner meat and Popina’s unconquerable mega breakfast.
In winter you will spend your time wearing a beanie in a basement while your housemate tries (and fails) the DJ decks he got for Christmas, while in summer you’ll be the odd one out if you’re not smoking a rollie on a battered leather armchair on your patio.

Ash Grove
Ash Grove is a lovely road by Hyde Park standards. The lilac doors attract droves of beautiful residents and its proximity to winning fry-up haunt Popina’s means your waistline doesn’t stand a chance.

The Brudenells
Once home to Chris Pine, Brudenell Road and its namesakes are the best roads in Hyde Park and the ones everyone would love to live on.
Brudenell itself might be noisy, but you’ll have access to small shops, the legendary Zulfi’s and the most classic people in Leeds.

The Ashvilles
This trio of roads isn’t in the epicentre of Hyde Park, but they’re only a minute away from Cardigan Road, which is home to the Co-op and Burley station.

Chestnut Avenue
Big, central streets but this makes them burglary hotspots – try and avoid living there if you have any fondness for your possessions.
Often heralded as the maddest street in Hyde Park, Chestnut Avenue has received its fair share of bad press.

Hyde Park Road
We get it: you live on Hyde Park Road. It’s close to uni. You have the best views over the rest of Hyde Park. Well done.
You’ll have the vibiest summer going, as you sit on your flat roof with a Corona in hand with the park sprawling before you. Just please stop telling everyone in the Eddy B silent study area how cool your house is.

Mayville/Manor Drive
Mayville was mocked by Tatler for being an area not to live in Leeds, but how can anyone say that about this area when it’s only a stone’s throw away from the Greasy Pig.
It might of been disregarded by Tatler, but the houses are fancy – your butler says so too.

Buckingham Mount
Perfect for finalists looking for a 2:1 but who still want a good time.
Buckingham Mount is quiet enough to get your work done, but these massive houses are still close enough to The Brudenells to not be anti-social.

The Hessles
Known for it’s abundance of fun, Hessle Place, Mount and Terrace gave birth to local legends Hessle Audio.
With Sainsbury’s just around the corner and the cinema nearby, you are in the perfect location for pres or a romantic trip to watch DiCaprio.

Kensington Terrace
Unfortunately it turns out Kensington Terrace isn’t too similar to its London namesake, what with narrow alleys and a lack of gold-plated Ferraris.
At least the houses are big and you’re not far away from the Hyde Park pub.

Victoria Road
Victoria Road is the most Leeds road of all time.
The veritable bridesmaid to Brudenell Road’s bride, it’s more of a cul-de-sac or suburban road, with the only time people coming to visit being when they’re heading to and from the Greasy Pig, or a house where you can see your breath even though you’re inside.

Queen’s Road
A stone’s throw from Abu Bakr and a two minute walk to the social club, Queen’s Road is home to the mighty Pitza Carno and its famous hoi-sin duck and brie pizza. If that doesn’t convince you, nothing will.
