We’re recruiting new writers: The Bournemouth Tab needs you!
Join us on Monday 7th October at 12pm at Naked Coffee on Talbot Campus to get all of the need to know info
The Bournemouth Tab is looking for some fresh meat to join our ever growing team.
This means we want budding journalists to break the latest news stories, some fun guides and get involved in TikTok content creation. What more could you want?
Pop along and join us for our new writer’s meeting! Monday 7th October at 12pm, on Talbot Campus’ Naked Coffee located in the Poole Gateway Building. During this time, you can ask all of the questions you’d like to, meet the other writers and more importably, get your daily dose of caffeine in.
Pros for writing for The Bournemouth Tab: looks great on your CV and LinkedIn, you can claim you’re a journalist, bragging rights, awesome team of writers to be pals with, fun socials, a stunning reference from yours truly. If you’re lucky, I might even give you a The Tab tee.
Cons: none????
Don’t know what The Tab is? No worries.
The Tab is a national student media company with regional teams in nearly 30 UK universities.
The national site covers stories from Love Island to university scandals, and garners nine million readers each month.
If you join us, you may even get a chance to write nationally too!
Now, we’re the Bournemouth version so our articles are published by Bomo students, for Bomo students, and our writers gain valuable experience in writing a range of stories, from hard-hitting news to fun and friendly features.
The Bournemouth Tab will embrace all of our writers’ ideas and help grow them into something that will reach the entire Bournemouth student population, and beyond. You will also gain the opportunity to apply for our editorial team – which looks great on a CV.
We’re all about working hard and playing harder – meetings aren’t always the most serious occasion, and with a group chat that’s buzzing in your pocket a little too much, it’s a great way to meet people, get stuck into the heart of what’s going on on campus, and meet people from across the university. Plus, you have a chance to pick what you write about – we’re never going to force you to take an article you don’t want either.
Also, if you care about a social issue, now is your chance to shine a light and have a platform.
Joining The Bournemouth Tab opens up a realm of opportunities, and we can’t wait to have you on board! Tab writers have gone on to work for a range of great companies such as BBC, Vogue, and even The Tab HQ in London.
Sound like something you’d enjoy? Then come down to our meeting on Monday 2nd October at 12pm at Naked Coffee on Talbot Campus.
Can’t make the meeting? No problem, our DMs are always open. Slide in with any qualms or queries!
