SUBU issues warning over fake Summer Ball 2019 tickets

SUBU have had to issue a statement warning students about selling illegitimate Summer Ball tickets and have outlined the implications of buying fake tickets. This is what SUBU had to say about this issue:

"Summer Ball ticket warning. We have checked the following tickets and they are not valid for the Summer Ball. Do not buy tickets from anywhere but www.subu.org.uk . All the tickets being sold by this individual have been cancelled due to irregularities with the credit card details used to buy them. All these tickets now flag as invalid and you will not be able to exchange them for an event wristband.

If you think you have one please report it to us by message, not below (with transaction number) and we will check and tell you what to do next. Repeat do not buy tickets from anywhere but the authorised website (ask yourself why they are selling them?)"

Accounts such as these have been seen on popular BU Facebook pages such as 'Overheard at Bournemouth University' trying to sell illegitimate tickets.

For people selling on tickets – it is against SUBU policy to sell Summer Ball tickets on for more than their original value. There were numerous stories going around Cranborne halls last year about how someone paid £80 for one ticket because they were in such high demand.
