All the trends we Bournemouth girls live for

You've seen best dressed on campus, so you already know that Bournemouth is an on-trend town.

Of course we all want to dress to impress, whether it is to impress that guy you fancy, your friends, or most importantly yourself. But there are those few fashion statements that us girls in Bournemouth can't seem to leave the house without.

The Tab Bournemouth have gathered all of the major fashion statements that we've recently spotted into a 'most popular' list. How many of these items do you own?

Hoops and tassel earrings

A staple we just cannot get enough of this March. Regardless of asking our friends whether we look like Pat Butcher every single time, they are going to glam up any basic outfit. Sorted.

Mesh tops

We may freeze to death whenever we wear them, but that doesn't mean we will remember this the next time we pick them out of the wardrobe. You have to suffer to be fashionable, obviously. A top that screams "I'm cool enough to wear this because I'm not classy".

Skirts with buckle belts

Because we look far too basic with just the skirt. It's already tight as hell but I need to glam it up with a long piece of leather and some metal for the buckle.

Fleece jackets galore

I look indie, I feel indie, at least I am trying to be indie. I will convince people I purchased this jacket from a charity shop to look even more indie but actually, I spent 50 pounds on it from Topshop. I'm also still trying to convince people I'm a country girl at heart but in reality, I live by the coast.

Culottes aka old people trousers

Those baggy things that make us look oh so effortless that we aren't even trying to look good. They go with every top on the planet – god, life must have been easy trying to pull off fashion back in the day.

Gym leggings – Adidas originals, Reebok, you name it

"Have you been to the gym?"

No, they're just really comfy and I want people to think I'm a fitness guru. In fact this is not the case and to be quite honest I couldn't be bothered to change out of them. A fashion statement which will never die.

Leggings/trousers with stripes down the sides

The looks we are all killing this season

THE March fashion staple. They're selling them in all high street stores including New Look and Zara for literally 20 pounds… Bargain.

Caps even though it is never sunny in England

Again, a fashion statement which will never fade. They make people look cool enough for the boys to think they are one of the 'lads', they can hide the fact that actually we have barely woken up and that we are 'original'. Perfect.
