Your fave takeaway Chicken and Blues has just won Best Takeaway in the South East

The hungover cravings actually won something

The British Takeaway Awards (yeah, they actually have awards for them) were hosted at The Savoy in London on Monday night, and Bournemouth's Chicken and Blues were amongst the top winners.

Against thousands of takeaways in the South East, Chicken and Blues in Bournemouth was given the Best Takeaway Award in the region, as well as nationally winning the highly commended for Best Takeaway in Britain. Well-deserved, obviously.

John Bishop hosted the awards night, with celebrity guests including Chris Hughes from Love Island, Model Kelly Brook and actress Lisa Faulkner, and many others.

The awards are run in association with our best friend and saviour for every hangover, Just Eat.

The takeaway also have branches in Boscombe and Poole.

They did previously have a Winton branch – but this was shut down earlier this year, after a "substantial robbery", which involved entire tills being taken.

Being highly recommended means Chicken and Blues were also super close to winning the National Award for Best Takeaway in literally the whole of Britain, but lost to Lime Pickle in Birmingham.

They were one of two classed as "highly recommended" out of 35,000 takeaways in Britain.

You've done us proud, C and B!
