A Bournemouth uni gal is in the line up of ITV2’s Love Island 2017

She’s on the lacrosse and netball team

Get your comfies ready, as the highly anticipated Love Island is set to grace our screens on Monday night. The show will be back for another summer of love, coupling up and breaking up – all from a gorgeous villa in Majorca.

It’s set to be an exciting few weeks of television as our daily fix of the romance-fuelled show finally returns, and after seeing the new cast, it’s set to be sassier and sexier than ever.

The contestants were revealed yesterday and one of them is BU’s very own Montana Brown.

But who is Montana and what is she going to be like on TV?

For starters, she’s 21 and has just finished her degree in PR and Economics here at BU.

Montana says she’s expecting people to call her posh: “I will admit I’ve been brought up well and I’ve been really lucky to go a private school. I’m lucky to have had good opportunities in my life.”

Having described herself as “sensible” in the teaser video, it’s going to be up to the viewers to decide whether this girl is telling the truth once she gets into that notorious villa.

She was also asked to describe herself in bed, to which she replied “not very affectionate” which could make for interesting TV when it comes to her coupling up.

She’s known around campus for being on the varsity Lacrosse team as well as being on BU Varsity Netball (otherwise known as BUNC) in her first year.

BUNC pal Lana Byrnes says she’s always been deemed for the spotlight. She told The Tab: “She’s definitely one of the most sociable people I know, so I am really excited to see how she is going to be inside the villa!”

Having only handed in her dissertation last week, it seems as if she’s going to be celebrating finishing her degree in the sunny Spanish villa.

You can watch Montana and the rest of the 2017 Love Island contestants on Monday (June 5th) at 9pm on ITV2.
