Fancy a new lover? Well, now you can find one on a blind date in Dylan’s Bar
Never mind Tinder, Dylan’s Bar is the new Cupid
Are you feeling like you want a new special someone in your life? Well, Blind Dates is coming to Bournemouth University.
Yep, that’s right. Your favourite bar in town, Dylan’s Bar, is hosting a Blind Dates night where you can potentially meet someone new (cringy we know, but at least it will mean you tried).
Just like the famous show, Blind Dates, soon to be relaunching on Channel 5 – a date could bring lots of laughs, or maybe even a few hiccups.
One contestant asks questions to three potential lovers on the show while they’re hidden behind a screen.
The BU version will consist of contestants being on a blind date radio show where Mcleon Okon, the host, will help you find a date.
The Tab Bournemouth spoke to the event organisers, they said: “We think it will be fun and exciting for the crew and the contestants participating. We asked McLeon to host our event as he’s quite well known around campus due to his fun personality and successful YouTube channel, we knew he would be a great presenter as he’s previously hosted Take Me Out organised by the African and Caribbean Society.
“We want the audience and contestants to be in a relaxed environment and enjoy having a laugh. We hope the event is enjoyable for everyone present and that the people we have participating will walk away with a successful date.”
The Facebook event for the night says prizes may also be on the cards. It adds: “Audience members also needed, so you can still be there even if you’re not single!

Tuesday 23rd May, 5-6pm. Put it in your diary.
We know you have no other plans.
