Student radio steps up to FM
Bournemouth University’s student radio station – ‘Nerve’ – is set to broadcast 10 days of live content on 87.7FM starting this week
The station, which previously could only be accessed online, will now be heard on car radios all over Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
The broadcast run, (from 17-28th March), will feature the best of student talent, with live DJ sets and competitions until 3am each morning.
Nerve Radio Station Manager, Rupert Clarke said, “The Nerve FM run is forever growing and this year is defiantly the biggest the FM launch has been.
“We have a huge team up at Nerve, from radio students to news, PR and journalism and everyone is so excited.
“Being on FM gives the students valuable experience that they then can carry forward into their profession and gives them an advantage over other graduates.”
The FM broadcast is also an opportunity for the Nerve News team to show they can provide relevant stories for a wider audience.
Anushka Naidoo, Head of Nerve News, said: “Our team of journalists will be working to provide the latest information, for both radio and online, on a range of topics and issues that affect not only students but the local community as well.”
