Hold up! There’s Kitty Cafe opening in Grand Central with 30 cats roaming free

Sounds purrrrrrrfect

Listen up crazy cat ladies! A cafe where you can sit with God's finest creatures is coming to Birmingham this May.

The opening of the Birmingham branch will mark the third Kitty Cafe, with other locations in Leeds and Nottingham and will have around thirty cats.

The cafes act as rescue centres for cats, nursing the cats back to health and encouraging people to adopt.

Katie Charles-Richards, who runs the company, said: "We are pleased to announce the opening of Kitty Café Birmingham, expected to open in May 2019.

"We started in Nottingham by wanting to bring something special to the high street that gave back to the community. We have been embraced with open arms by the people of Nottingham and Leeds, and hope the lovely people of Birmingham will do the same.

"Our opening is expected for middle May with lots of exciting announcements coming soon.

"Kitty Café Birmingham will follow our other locations with large quirky spaces, lots of colour and, of course, a bespoke-built cat playground.
The majority of the 30 cats in Birmingham will be rescued and will be rehabilitated and re-homed."

Katie continued: "We complete all their veterinary requirements because no expense is spared on our pussycats. Not only are our cats spoilt, but we also spoil our customers too.

"Kitty Café is the ultimate location for relaxation, family time and an all-round good time with a difference – all in the knowledge that your visit is helping cats find their forever homes. So enjoy an afternoon tea, pizza and a cat-themed mocktail – all in the company of fluffy kitties."
