UoB Student Minds, a branch of the UK’s student mental health charity- are collaborating with the Guide Dogs charity to bring you a Guide Dog day on the 22nd February 2017 between 10am-3pm. Anyone is welcome to come and play with the dogs and raise money for Student Minds and the Guide Dogs, as there will be a small entrance fee of £3.

Since mental health has recently been getting more awareness, the day will be an amazing opportunity for students to learn what the charity, Student Minds is about. The charity encourages students to have the confidence to talk about their mental health and bring about positive change to their mental well-being.

The day will also be a great opportunity to learn about the Guide Dogs. As well as being incredibly cute, the puppies provide support and freedom to those who are blind or partially blind. The Guide Dogs charity also campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment as well as educating the public about eye care and helping fund research for eye diseases.
