Selly thug who raped and kidnapped a woman has been jailed
He sexually assaulted the woman after catfishing her
A local thug who kidnapped and raped a woman has been locked up for five years.
Jason Johnson, 26, from Raddlebarn Farm Drive in Selly lured a 31 year old woman to a pub car park in Harborne after he set up a fake online profile.
When the woman arrived, Johnson jumped into her car and forced her to drive to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her.
Johnson then threatened to kill the woman if she went to the police but she did so immediately and Johnson was arrested a week later.
He faces five years for forcing the woman to engage in a sexual act, three years for kidnap and one year for sexual assault which will all be served at the same time.
He will also be placed on the sex offenders register for life.
The trial lasted just 4fourdays after CCTV provided pretty clear evidence against him, although Johnson still denies the charges claiming everything was consensual.
