Escape & Evade Selly Oak with Carnival Rag!

Because there’s never been a better time to get away from Selly!

Fancy getting away from Brum for a bit? Us too. Now’s the perfect time to flee Selly Oak, so why not go on an adventure whilst raising money for charity?

Carnvial Rag’s legendary Escape & Evade event is back next weekend, challenging you to see how far away you can get from Brum in 60 hours.

So after Fab N Friday, pack a bag and head off on the adventure of a lifetime. There are a few catches, however…

You’ve only got 60 hours to get as far away from Birmingham as possible, and no money can be spent on transport.

The current record is 1205 miles – Ternopil, Ukraine- held by Laura Burney and Carnival’s Ash Green.

You’ll make life-long friends

The money raised by your hitch-hiking efforts will go to 6 great charities: Meningitis Research Foundation, Prostate Cancer UK, Dementia UK, The Children’s Society, Nightline and React. Last year over a whopping £14,000 was raised.

Ash Green, co-ordinator of the event, told The Tab: “All the money raised goes to our 6 amazing charities, so whilst you’re travelling across the world for free, you’re also helping some amazing causes.

“Escape and Evade is by far and away the craziest, most ridiculous and most amazing thing I have ever done at University, the stories you will come back with are incredible and I think everyone should do it!”

Tickets are on sale now and you can grab them here!
