A gang held terrified stall holders at knife point while they made off with thousands of pounds this weekend.

Traders at Birmingham’s celebrated German Christmas Market watched in horror as three men with knives escaped with thousands of pounds in cash.

The incident happened on Saturday at around 10pm when the traders were beginning to pack up.

They were loading their lorries in a car park under the Suffolk Street Queensway flyover when the trio appeared and demanded they hand over their day’s takings. They then escaped in a car.
