Plastik bouncers filmed putting man in chokehold on the dancefloor

Plastik have declined to comment

Two bouncers at Belfast's biggest club Plastik have been filmed aggressively restraining a man in the club this weekend.

The incident took place Saturday 21st September during Gravity, one of the club's most popular nights.

The incident was caught on camera by a clubber that uploaded it to their Snapchat story. The video shows two bouncers putting a man in a choke hold for so long that people intervene to stop them, as well as shoving the man into the seats.

The video had been shared to Facebook and later removed, but wracked up over 2000 shares in less than 24 hours.

The full name of one of the bouncers had been released resulting in the removal of the original Facebook video and any evidence. Another member of the security team can be seen at the end of the video pulling the man over the seats.

When The Belfast Tab approached Plastik for comment they did not reply. Another Plastik employee later told The Belfast Tab: "They won't respond to you."

We will bring you more on this story as we have it.
