Playstation 3 and speakers stolen in Holylands burglary

It happened on Sunday

A Holylands house on Wolseley Street was broken into in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The trespasser broke in through the back door before making off with several valuables.

Resident and Psychologist Conor Tinnelly said: “The police said they’d try to do something but it’s rare we’ll see our stuff again.”

The gate

The intruder forced entry, breaking a gate and window to gain access.

Connor, a third year, said: “Our mate was in his bed but he didn’t hear anything. He came down in the morning to see our stuff had been taken – speakers and a Playstation 3.

“I wasn’t in. The rest of the fellas were away home because we all work on the weekends.

“Terry messaged us, we got the PSNI up and they’re following up on any forensic information they took away with them.

“There was no sight of the person who took the stuff – came in and out. We’re all just happy nothing more came out of it.

“We’re all grand now. We laughed about it after – always gotta look on the bright side.

“We lost our speakers so we’re practicing the singing.”
