BNOC Ciaran Casey tells us how to nail Halloween this year

‘The ideal costume is a bottle of Bucky’

Here’s what Yik Yak legend and Queen’s BNOC, Ciaran Casey thinks of Halloween. Listen up, drink in the wisdom – we could all be a little bit more like Casey.

So what are your plans for Halloween night?

Well, I’ve left it too late to score myself a ticket, so I’m currently looking for a good house party to go to.

Pm me with offers.

What’s your ideal Halloween costume?

Basically, dressing up as a bottle of Bucky, or as we call it at home – Lurgan Champagne.

What Halloween costumes are you tired of seeing out?

Cats and Where’s Wally costumes, they’re overdone.

The pre-drink of kings

What’s the best thing you’ve ever dressed up as for Halloween?

I dressed up as a German Nazi officer one year when I was about twelve.

What’s your ideal Halloween pre-drink?

Bucky as always. Maybe drink it out of a pumpkin or something.

Do you ever fancy dress when it’s not Halloween?

You should fancy dress at any given opportunity.

What costumes do you admire?

Anything that has required effort and wasn’t just bought in a shop.

Minion costumes. Are they admirable or is it too much?

I hate them, anybody who dresses up as a minion is unoriginal.

What age are you too old to trick or treat at?

You’re never, ever, ever too old to trick or treat.

What’s your favourite Halloween film?

Probably Friday the 13th, it’s hard to find good modern horror films.

What’s your craziest Halloween night memory?

Walking home from Rain two years ago, we began playing a game of American Football in the middle of Victoria Square and got chased by security when we tried to go up to the dome at the top.

What else have you dressed up as over the years?

Luigi, a nerd, Heisenberg and the stereotypical wrapped in a bin bag when I was a child.

Finally, what are you dressing up as this year?

I don’t even know, I’ve left Halloween very last minute this year.
