One of Belfast’s favourite bars and staple in the Holylands lifestyle, the Hatfield, has undergone a multi-million transformation this summer.

As work is completed this week, the popular Ormeau Road bar now has a second floor nightclub and a rooftop bar.

The Hatfield’s capacity will increase from 150 to 700 and the number of staff is set to go up from 15 to 50.

On their facebook page, The Hatfield House wrote: “Well guys the count down is on!! We’re almost there.

“It’s been a busy summer for us all but it’s all paid off!

“Hope to see yous all soon for a few socialbles.”

We can’t wait

Interest in the bar’s facelift has also been buzzing online.

One person tweeted: “Will have to pay a wee visit to Belfast soon to take a look around this revamped Hatfield, new bouncers would go a miss either.”

The new and improved bar will officially open its doors on Sunday, September 13, just in time for this year’s freshers to experience the Holylands institution.
