Filthy’s not so filthy poster causes small controversy

Is this even newsworthy?

bums filthys poster stripped back

Filthy McNasty’s, official haunt of Belfast hipsters, has a poster campaign which has got some of you all hot and bothered.

The new poster for  the ‘Stripped Back’ open mic night features two naked women with their bare bums out.

Yes, their actual bums!

Peachy

The controversy even reached the dizzying heights of the Nolan show where outraged feminist commentator Sarah Wright ranted:

“I don’t understand what naked women have to do with this event. I can’t imagine female performers would be happy with that representation”

Furious feminsts and mallies have complained on Twitter.

Medicine student and FemSoc member Kimberly Malone Crossley felt the image was unnecessary and “kinda desperate.”

“It’s a bit too try-hard. Do they need two bare arses to draw people in? Unnecessary.  ”

Criminology student Aimee Hanna and friend Cassie Quinn were just plan disappointed in the bar.

“You would think Filthies could have come up with something different. Are they not supposed to be known for being a bit quirky and different?”

Cassie was of the opinion “It’s just laziness, they could have come up with something a bit more creative.”

Luke Boyle, who studies English at Queen’s,admitted the image was irrelevant to the event but pointed out,

“What makes this any different from any PR or shot girl? Nam.”

Luckily for anyone who finds a bit of bum offensive, Filthy’s have made sure to cover every element of the female form in this new campaign, literally. With a tie.

Scandalous apparently
