QUB ranks 46th in Guardian’s University Guide 2015

46th place in the league table, but student satisfaction remains high.

The Guardian’s annual University league tables have been released, and QUB is sitting at 46th place in the UK. This makes us the worst ranking Russell Group University this year.

Oh dear.

Yet despite being awarded only 60.8 as a Guardian score, Queen’s definitely has some redeeming qualities. 87.9% of students coming out of QUB are satisfied with their course, and a pretty impressive 75.3% of graduates have secured a career after only 6 months.

One of our most rubbish features, and potentially our downfall in this year’s league tables, is our undeniably shit 4.6/10 spend per student. The McClay Library cost over £40 million to build, maybe they’re still broke from that?

Another reason not to shed a tear over Queen’s terrible Guardian score is the fact that the Complete University Guide still loves us. Up two places from last year’s 31st to this year’s 29th, QUB is not only doing well, but continuing to improve.

And we’re not gloating or anything, but we’re still better than University of Ulster, who ranked 93rd in this year’s tables.
